Maganbhai Patel and Panchanan Sharma were honored with the Sahkarita Siromani and the Sahakarita Vibhushan Awards respectively for their contributions to the cooperative movement on the occasion of Kribhco’s 36th Annual General Meeting.
In his speech, Maganbhai Patel said ” I have been associated with the cooperative sector for more than 45 years rendering my services at various levels. I am thankful to the fertilizer cooperative for honoring me with the prestigious Sahkarita Sirmoni Award 2015-16”.
Panchanan Sharma said ”I have been connected with the cooperative movement since 1945 as a member on the Biscomaun board and several other cooperative societies. I deeply thank the board members of the fertilizer cooperative for choosing me for the award.
Panchanan Sharma is said to be the oldest living cooperator in the country. Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh had
showcased Mr Sharma in last election to prove the point that a cooperator in his nineties could make it to the Board. KRIBHCO’s Award carries a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Last year Kribhco had honored Dr Dayabhai Jinabhai Patel with the Sahkarita Siromani Award and M E Hassainar with the Sahakarita Vibhushan Award. Madan Bhai Badaria was honored with Vishesh Samman for his invaluable contributions in the field of Bt Cotton.
