Spinfed employees may be absorbed

With the Rajasthan Rajya Sahakari Spinning and Ginning Mills Federation (SPINFED) in the state continuously being in the red, its future hangs in the balance. It is against such a backdrop that the state govt. has instructed the labor dept. to accommodate employees of the organization in the govt. jobs, reports Times of India.

The govt has also directed the finance department to devise ways to clear the dues of the employees before taking a final decision on the fate of the organization. According to estimate, about Rs 9 crore is due to the employees under the head of salary and allowances.

SPINFED is a state government undertaking in the co-operative sector. It started its operations in April 1993, bringing under one roof four distinct co-operative spinning mills in the textile sector.
