In a move that will come as a huge relief to farmers across the country, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited has slashed rates of DAP yet again by Rs 35 per bag. This was the second reduction in quick succession.

IFFCO MD tweeted the same” For benefit #farmers, #IFFCO further reduced it’s #DAP prices by Rs.35 per bag. Selling #DAP at Rs.22000 per tonne plus local taxes.”

Readers would recall that in its 45th AGM held in May IFFCO had reduced rates of DAP and NPK fertilizers by Rs 1000 per tonne with immediate effect. The decision brought down the per-bag price of these fertilizers by Rs 50 across the country.

Awasthi had insisted on passing each pai of the benefits to farmers to his member societies which had gathered in large number at the NCUI Auditorium in Delhi.

A great votary of digitalization IFFCO MD tweeted to say that info on the current reduction has also been spread among more than 20 lakh farmers. His tweet read “ #IFFCO care for #farmers. #IFFCO has sent Information of #DAP price reduction to more than 20 Lakh #farmers.”

IFFCO’s top management led by the MD had been busy past two days in what it called 53rd Quarterly Review Meeting . Brain storming on various issues with heads of Marketing, Plants & JV are done in this, informed Awasthi through a tweet.
