The young team from IFFCO including its youngest Director Aditya Yadav has gone to Sweden to attend ICA Board meeting. Posting photographs of meeting from Stockholm Yadav has tweeted “Attending board meeting of @icacoop at #Stockholm. Met various #Cooperators across the globe.”
Accompanying him are the other two young faces from the cooperative behemoth- Cooperative Relation DGM Tarun Bhargava and media head Harshendra Singh Vardhan. On the sidelines of the meeting they are busy updating the development through social media.
Besides attending the Board meeting, they are also taking part in the 
ongoing discussions on issues such as “growth & development of Cooperatives across globe”, “sustainable agriculture & food security”, etc.
ICA Board meetings take place three times in a year and are held in various regions of the world. This time it is Sweden. The participation is based on self-financing, which means that either the Board member or his or her organisation must cover the costs of attending the meetings.
As required by the ICA’s Bylaws, Board members serve a four-year term and can stand for re-election. Yadav was able to vanquish the jinx on the issue of re-entry to ICA Board after the untimely demise of Surender Jakhar who represented India earlier.
