I reside in Kanivali(W) in building,  with my Mother, my wife and a daughter. Our flat is on my Mother’s name. My Wife was ex-school teacher and post birth of my daughter, she left the school and she stared to take home/private tuition with due approval from all society members in society AGM held in 2010.

Now one of our neighbor has lodge a complain to BMC and Mantralaya on my wife’s name for taking private tuition.
We have gone and met the BMC officer and officer told us to get Gumasta licence, but we refuse to take that.
After 2 months we got summence from Parle court for penalty, we gone there and we paid penalty also.(because we don’t want to contest and to stretch the case)

My wife takes tuition for 8-10 students from 1st to 8th standard only, we don’t have any employee and don’t have any name board/letter head/visiting card etc… we lives on 3rd floor and we told children and their  parents not use building lift. Entire society members are in our favor, except 1, who complained.

Now I need guidance on this issue, what to do for following questions:

•       Do I have to take gumasta licence ?
•       If not, then whats is the solution ?

Looking for your kind suggestion ASAP.

I C Naik

It is just a registration of your Tution Class. As you have already conceded there is no point in brewing discontent. Registration is not a big deal any way.
