NCUI: NCCE trains personnel of co-op unions

About fifty cooperative professionals drawn from various state and district cooperative unions as well as some of the faculty members of a few training centres in the country attended the Trainers Training Programme conducted by the training and education arm of NCUI, NCCE last week in Delhi.

The participants came from various states such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Manipur, Sikkim, Punjab, Haryana and Tamil Nadu. The prime objective of the programme was to understand the importance of training in cooperative organizations, design need based training programmes, optimal utilization of the resources available for training and implement training programmes systematically & professionally.

Satyanarayana, Chief Executive exhorted State Cooperative Unions to come forward and conduct more and more training programmes in their respective states. NCUI is ready to provide you all support ; you should come forward to take the advantage as it would boost the Cooperative Movement in the country, he added.

The programme also focused on the policies of Government of India and State Governments launched in recent times for the development of cooperative sector as well as recent changes in cooperative law and its effect among cooperatives.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE. In his address he said State Cooperative Unions should encourage their manpower to join the training programmes so that they can work professionally and help implement the learned knowledge by optimal use of the available human resources.

Training helps remove glitches in the functioning of cooperatives and help upgrade the skill-set of cooperators -Board of Directors as well as cooperative employees, Dubey underlined.

Experts from the Government of India and different renowned institutions laid emphasis on issues like systematic approach in training, communication skill, development of different training methods, structure and functioning of cooperative education, etc.

The participants also interacted freely in each and every session and put forward their suggestions.

Those who participated included govt officials, MDs of cooperatives, several experts drawn from various national level training institutes, Dr. G. S. Azad, Senior Consultant, NCCE along with the faculty members of NCCE. A.R. Srinath Deputy Director & Course Coordinator proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion.
