We recently had incidences of thefts in our society. The secretary is still not taking any action for installation of CCTV in the society campus. We have no security guard. The colony comprises of 11 buildings, each one has around 20 flats.
There are total 5 gates to the colony but no watchman on any one.
Could you please let me know if CCTV installation and security guard is compulsary for each society and if Yes, whom can we approach to get the secretary working on this.

It is not compulsory for any society to have any security arrangement including CCTV. However it may be a good idea to inform the nearest Police Station in writing that your society is under risks of threat and safety of people.
