I am dealing with solar power generation in Gujarat. Recently GOG has declared a solar policy 2015. I want to know by making co-operative society we can installed Solar power? What are the rules for that?

- Any company or body corporate or association or body of individuals, whether incorporated or not, or artificial juridical person can set up Solar Power Generators (SPGs).
- Eligible Entity for Rooftop PV system with net metering must
- own the rooftop solar PV system*;
- own or be in legal possession of the premises including the rooftop or terrace;
- be a Consumer of the local DisCom, and the premises shall be connected to the DisCom’s grid; and
- consume all of the electricity generated from the rooftop solar PV system at the same premise. [ If the Consumer is not able to consume all of the generated electricity in the same premise, relevant provisions defined in this Policy shall be applicable to the generated surplus electricity.]
