I’m staying in a Cooperative housing society in state of Maharashtra. The society are saying one is not allowed to keep footwears outside the house is it lawful or they are implementing they own rules.
Secondly,which book or law is there by which cooperative housing societies is governed in state of Maharashtra. So, please help me with the same.

By keeping shoe rack outside your flat means you are using a property commonly available to all members. As such a single member cannot use common property. This is a correct legal diktat.
