Amidst rising political heat in the wake of Narendra Sharma’s death, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh visited his parental house Monday in Jahanabad and spent close to five hours with the family.
I was not alone; there were several senior cooperators including Ram Kalevar Babu , Ram Vishun Singh and others who accompanied me , said Sunil Singh on phone while returning from Jahanabad.
Readers would recall that the death of Narendra Sharma a cooperator from Jahanabad has led to a demand of his replacement at the Biscomaun Board either from his family or from the district of Jahanabad.
Either one of the family members of Narendra Sharma or a cooperator from the town should be taken on the Board of Biscomaun, demanded representatives of vyapar mandals in Jahanabad.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Bihar State Cooperative Union Chairman Vinay Shahi said ”they have approached us to plead their case and I have promised to take up the matter with Biscomaun”, he said.
Readers would recall that Narendra Sharma, one of the Directors of Biscomaun died last week in Patna. His death has
led to angry exchange of words between the Sunil camp and the Vishal camp. Vishal Singh–a grandson of formidable cooperator of yesteryear Tapeshwar Singh has been on the sidelines of the cooperative politics in Bihar.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Sunil Singh said he himself is interested in taking late Sharma’s wife Smt Urmila Devi on board but it has to follow the rules and procedure of the Multi State Cooperative Society.
