Hindu reports demanding pension for ration shop workers and employees of cooperative banks, members of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Bank Employees Association held a rally at Palayamkottai in Tamil Nadu.
The processionists said the employees of primary agriculture cooperative banks and the ration shops should get pension and retirees from service be given ex-gratia pension on compassionate grounds.
The rallyists marched to the Office of Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies near Loyola Convent, Palayamkottai.
Several important office-bearers of the Association and many others participated in the rally.
