In our society Dy Registrar appointed officer since 22 dec 2014. The officer from registrar office become signatory for the account.
In month of Feb 2015 Mr Shekhar sent us maintenance bills for Month of Jan and Feb in which he asked us to pay society maintenance by cash to him for two months.
Can a person collect cash as society maintenance?

Bye laws require keeping cash on hand on a daily basis with in maximum of Rs 300/- Excess ha to be deposited in bank within 3 days. The payments in excess ors 1500 must be by account payee cheques only. there are no rules on dealing in cash.
Is the officer still there? His term is of six months maximum. so check on that.
