The Delhi State Cooperative Union and Federation of CGHS had recently organized the cooperative week, a week long programme in Radisson Blue Hotel, Dwarka in Delhi. The programme was inaugurated by the Registrar of the Cooperative Society Alka Diwan who was also the chief guest in the function.

Addressing the delegates Alka Diwan said Cooperative department is ready to give all support to the federation of CGHS Dwarka. She further said we will make all possible efforts to solve the federation’s problems.

Nafed Director Ashok Thakur who was also present on the occasion wanted cooperative societies to operate cooperative schools and hospitals – an idea that received an enthusiastic support from some of the delegates and Alka Diwan.

Delhi study group chairman Vijay Jolly said the cooperative movement in Delhi should be promoted, so that more and more people become members of the cooperative federation.

Union General Secretary P.C.Sharma talked about the shortcomings and underlined the problems which come up in running a cooperative society.
