Friday morning upbeat IFFCO MD tweeted to announce his journey to Jordon where a JIFCO Plant is to be inaugurated jointly by the President of India and the King of Jordon.

That high level dignitaries lavish attention on the cooperative venture is indeed a matter of pride, quipped a senior cooperator.

Earlier in July this year MD had attended the board meeting of JIFCO and concluded that its road map was impressive and attainable. In less than a year IFFCO’s Jordan project had gone operational and the plant achieved 100% production.
IFFCO and Jordan Phosphates Mines Company Ltd (JPMC) had formed a limited liability Joint Venture Company namely Jordan India Fertilizer Company (JIFCO) in 2008 in Amman. The project is worth $860 million.
The partner of IFFCO Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) owns and operates a large number of phosphate mines in Jordan.
