I am resident of Gurgaon in Haryana. How do we calculate the individual share for replacement of old lifts. The apartment complex has various sizes of apartments and blocks varying from 3 stories to 17 stories.

This is a collection in the nature of a major fund. Such exceptional contribution is fixed by a majority decision in general body meeting. Lift is a common service providing system and it should be on a fair basis financed by equal contribution by all members, There is no way to work out its usage by members so that it can be apportioned on that basis.
