Nayan Lagad, the Chief General Manager – Accounts, Audit – Vigilance and Credit Supervision, of The Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd. was conferred with the prestigious and coveted ‘100 most Influential CFOs of India Award’ on July 23rd, 2015 in Mumbai in a grand function. She was selected for this award by eminent Jury Members as a mark of her contribution to Cosmos Bank and her outstanding work.
This award is given by CIMA ( Chartered Institutes of Management Accountants ) to the influential CFOs of India. CIMA is the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants.
Nayad Lagad started her career with Cosmos Bank as a Trainee Officer in 1992. She is the active witness to phenomenal growth of Cosmos Bank from its set-up of Rs.447 crore to Rs.26750 crore. During her tenure she has successfully handled various significant and critical portfolios like Accounts, Audit, MIS, Taxation and Credit Supervision as functional head till date.
Area of Financial Analysis like Balance Sheet and Ratio Management are now the major areas of her expertise. Her contribution over the years has not only been recognized by the Bank Management, but a lot of value is attached to her word and opinion.
She has been shouldering many important responsibilities as member of Asset Liability Committee, Head of Currency Chest, Faculty for training and mentor of branch heads.
The Cosmos Co-operative Bank is the first co-operative bank to get permission from Reserve Bank of India to open Currency Chest. The establishment of this Currency Chest was successfully handled by Nayan Lagad.
