We will hear the two sides: NCUI President

As complaints against Vammicom Director Sanjib Patjoshi have begun flooding the desk of the apex cooperative body NCUI, NCUI President finds himself in not a very happy situation.

“He is an IG rank officer likely to be promoted soon to the rank of ADG and I feel sorry proceeding against him but it is true that we have received complaints against him”, Chandra Pal told Indian Cooperative.

”We are sending him a notice on certain complaints that have come to us. We would wait for his replies”, Chandra Pal said referring to an ongoing battle between the Director and one of the local faculty P Chattopadhayay.

Opponents argue that Patjoshi may have done good works but he has failed to follow the rules. Chattppadhyay has reportedly filed RTIs on issues such as construction of milk booth, ATM etc which the Director has got done without seeking the approval of the NIE Committee. The NIE committee is the apex decision-making body of VAMNICOM and NCUI President Chandra Pal is its Chairman.

Indian Cooperative has learnt that one of the RTIs also pertains to the Director’s right of using yellow beckon on his car, which Patjoshi claims as his right quoting the rules of police uniform.

Though admitting that it is sad the NCUI President said he would arrive at any decision only after hearing the two sides. “We would also put up the issue before the government before taking any decision on the matter”, Yadav added.
