Tamil Nadu which saw no election in cooperatives for close to 30 years is in news for all the wrong reasons. The daily Hindu reported arrest of a chairman of a cooperative society in Valliyoor district of the state.
The Valliyoor police have arrested the chairman of Radhapuram and Nanguneri Agriculturists’ Cooperative Society for issuing death threat to a person from Valliyoor, reports the daily.
Police said Kannan purchased a building adjacent to his house recently and earned the enmity of V. Murugan alias ‘Bullet’ Murugan who is the chairman of Radhapuram and Nanguneri Agriculturists Cooperative Society.
The Chairman was also in race to buy the property and was making all-out efforts to buy the building. As Murugan’s efforts failed, he issued a death threat to Mr. Kannan.
Based on a complaint from Mr. Kannan, the Valliyoor police arrested Murugan.
In India a Criminal is one who is caught. Once Caught n numbers pf Offences can be identified to see he never goes back home. How many laws he has violated he would not be aware. Ignorance of law is no excuse no crime tll you are caught. This is possible given the Will of law and order Administration, which is lacking the most. Lets hope all these will change….
