The Kandla visit of IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi proved eventful as he mixed the work with fun and was accompanied with his wife, Rekha Awasthi. Dr Awasthi an engineer to the bone, felt at home supervising the machines of the plant.
Expressing his ease with machines he reflected the same in his tweet” (@drusawasthi) “Nothing makes me more happy than being among the machines of the plants.
He also inaugurated DCS system meant for DAP and NPK plant of IFFCO Kandla unit on his two-day visit . This system is said to improve the quality of the product.
But most important of all for which he congratulated the Kandla team was commissioning of heat recovery system for energy saving- latter being a major global concern. An enthusiastic MD tweeted ”Congratulations to #IFFCO Kandla for commissioning heat recovery system for energy saving.”
M R Patel, rated high in terms of competence joined Kandla Unit as its head in 2102 and has given drive to energy
conservation and structural strengthening. Strategies for project implementation are his forte, say his colleagues.
On the day one if he participated in a cultural function, on day two it was the turn of garden and bountiful nature he and his wife remained riveted to. On a parting note he thanked the IFFCO Kandla team for making his stay enjoyable.
