I am member of a housing co op society in Pune. I am Muslim and the society is biased and prejudiced. Do the by-laws allow discrimination? Please advise.

Following two extracts are relevant:
Clause (27) of Section 2 as amended recently reads as under: “society” means a co-operative society registered, or deemed to be registered, under this Act which is an autonomous association of persons, united voluntarily to meet their common needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise and adhering to the co-operative principles and values”;
The Very first Cooperative Principle is this :”Cooperatives are voluntary organizations, open to all people able to use its services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, without gender, social, racial, political or religious discrimination.
Cooperative Societies cannot discriminate in view of the above.
In order to address s specific “bias/prejudice” against a member looking at the discription of prejucial action is necessary to recommend solution.
