MD Jakfed J.A.Shah has reeled off encouraging figures on the federation in J and K. According to him, the Jakfed had an annual turnover of Rs. 66 crore and a profit of Rs. 6.56 crore in the last fiscal and the estimated turnover for the next fiscal counts Rs. 84 crore.
Sources say, the Jakfed has lately diversified business activities and thus raised its profitability.
The Jakfed’s achievements came to light when recently J and k Secretary cooperative dept. R.K. Koul took a review meeting of the federation. The Additional Registrar, Joint Registrar (cooperative), Dy Secretary (cooperative) among others were present in the review meeting.
