Scores of cooperative and regional rural banks in the country have already issued RuPay ATM cards to their customers. The RuPay payment network has been developed by National Payments Corporation of India.
The card is being used at ATMS and terminals throughout the country. Several millions of cards have already been issued by banks.
President Pranav Mukherjee will soon dedicate the RuPay to the nation.
The card will end the country’s dependency on international card scheme and it is a matter of pride that cooperative banks are at the forefront of this revolution.
