Cooperatives in Europe have formulated a manifesto for the 2014 European parliamentary poll. The document talks about achievements of cooperative bodies in various fields including industries, services and job creation.
The manifesto calls for national and Europe-wide policies that support the growth of cooperatives with the help of young people and encourage implementation of legal frameworks.
The cooperatives have also called for creation of a unit inside the European Commission to oversee the affairs of cooperatives in Europe.
