The jury constituted for the Indian Cooperative Summit & Excellence Awards 2026, scheduled for November 19 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, has finalised the list of awardees, with all selected cooperative institutions formally informed of their recognition through email.
The awards mark a special milestone in the journey of Indian Cooperative, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary (2011–2026). The final selections were made by a distinguished jury led by Shri Satish Marathe, senior cooperative banker and Member of the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), along with Shri Laxmi Dass, President of NAFCUB, and Shri Ajay Jha, Editor of Indian Cooperative.
The jury evaluated nominations across various segments of the cooperative sector, including Urban Cooperative Banks, credit cooperative societies, State Cooperative Banks and other cooperative institutions. The selection process aimed to recognise institutions for their notable achievements, institutional growth and contributions to the cooperative movement.
The organisers have clarified that the final award list reflects the independent assessment and decision of the jury. Institutions whose names do not figure in the final list are requested to appreciate the jury’s decision, as the awards are based on its evaluation.
A major highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of three Lifetime Achievement Awards to eminent personalities whose exceptional contributions have strengthened the cooperative movement and helped Indian cooperatives earn recognition at national and international levels.
These three individuals, whose names are not being disclosed at this stage, have created a new milestone and helped foster an emerging ecosystem in the country’s cooperative landscape. Indian Cooperative believes their contributions will benefit and strengthen the cooperative movement for many years to come.
The inaugural session is expected to be graced by Shri Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Cooperation, who has consented to inaugurate the Summit.
The event is expected to bring together over 300 delegates, including representatives from the Union Ministry of Cooperation, national cooperative federations, Urban Cooperative Banks, Multi-State Cooperative Credit Societies, State Cooperative Banks, policymakers and prominent cooperators from across the country.
Beyond the awards ceremony, the Summit will provide a platform for networking, knowledge sharing and discussions on the future of the cooperative movement, with emphasis on governance, digitalisation, innovation, financial inclusion and emerging technologies.
The gathering will celebrate institutional excellence while bringing together the cooperative sector’s leadership to reflect on its achievements and future opportunities.
