Sanjeet Kumar, chief of a Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) in Maner, was shot dead while Pintu Kumar, husband of the Maner block chief, was critically injured in a motorcycle-borne assailants’ attack in Bihar’s Patna district on Sunday night, media outlets report.
According to police, the incident occurred around 9.30 pm when the two men were sitting outside a house in Bayar village. The attackers arrived on a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire and fled the spot.
Pintu Kumar, who sustained serious injuries, is reported to be stable.
