Uttar Pradesh Minister J.P.S. Rathore attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the District Cooperative Bank Limited, Raebareli, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative sector and improving farmers’ welfare.

Sharing details of his participation, Rathore said that strengthening cooperatives, enriching farmers and prioritising public welfare remained the government’s resolve.

The AGM provided an opportunity to review the cooperative bank’s role in supporting the rural economy and extending financial services to farmers and other members of the cooperative community.

Cooperative banks play an important role in providing institutional credit to the agricultural sector and supporting rural livelihoods. Their strengthening is essential to expanding access to finance and ensuring that the benefits of cooperative development reach grassroots communities.

Rathore’s participation underscored the state government’s emphasis on cooperative-led growth and farmer empowerment.
