COBI holds Capacity-Building Program; Apte Chief Guest

Strengthening the cooperative banking sector’s digital readiness, the Cooperative Bank of India (COBI), in collaboration with the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Ltd., organised a three-day capacity-building programme on “Digital Transformation, Innovative Technologies and Emerging Banking Norms in the Cooperative Banking Sector” from 7 to 9 October 2026 at Sahakar Bhavan, Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, Gujarat.

The programme was graced by Sachin Apte, Chairman, The Cosmos Bank, as Chief Guest. G. H. Amin, Chairman, Gujarat State Cooperative Union and former President, NCUI, also attended the programme along with Davender Singh Shyam, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank; Vinay Singh, IAS, Managing Director, HP State Cooperative Bank; and Inderpreet Kaur, Senior Executive, COBI.

Designed for board members, CEOs, senior officers and functionaries of cooperative banks and credit institutions, the programme focused on building professional capabilities amid rapid technological changes.

Over three days, participants interacted with technical experts and industry professionals on digital transformation, emerging technologies and new banking norms, with emphasis on creating a more resilient, efficient and future-ready cooperative banking ecosystem.
