Officials from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Regional Office, Chandigarh, Dr. Buddharrapu Nitesh Kumar and Ravi Prakash Singh, visited various Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and other cooperative institutions in Haryana to assess their functioning and understand challenges at the grassroots level.

During interactions with representatives of the cooperatives, the officials discussed institutional strengthening, infrastructure development, diversification of activities and opportunities for sustainable growth.

The discussions also focused on identifying areas where NCDC’s financial assistance and institutional support could contribute meaningfully to the expansion and strengthening of cooperative institutions.

The field visits provided the NCDC team with valuable insights into the operational realities, requirements and challenges faced by cooperatives at the ground level. The exercise is expected to help align development support with the actual needs of cooperative institutions.
