Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday unveiled all three parts of “Everything About Banking”, a compilation of selected questions and answers by veteran banking scholar and State Co-operative Bank Administrator Vidyadhar Anaskar.
Published by Pune-based Rajhans Prakashan, the book draws on Anaskar’s 38-year-long work in banking literacy. Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale and Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore were also present at the launch.
Fadnavis praised Anaskar’s sustained efforts to spread banking awareness, noting that banking has become an integral part of everyday life and that financial knowledge is essential for protecting people’s hard-earned money.
The book explains banking issues in simple language, drawing upon Reserve Bank guidelines, banking regulations, the Co-operative Societies Act, Cooperation Department circulars, model bye-laws and court judgments.
It particularly addresses common concerns related to borrowers, guarantors and deposits, offering practical guidance to customers and helping clear doubts surrounding safe banking practices.
