The Andhra Pradesh Government has appointed a new five-member committee to oversee the affairs of Kuppam Cooperative Town Bank Ltd. in Kuppam.
The order, issued by the Agriculture & Cooperation Department on Thrusday, replaces the existing arrangement under which the bank was being managed by the District Cooperative Audit Officer, Chittoor.
P.S. Manjunath has been appointed Chairman of the new committee. The other members are S. Uday Kumar, Chand Basha, K. Sindhukumar and Smt. Navaneetha.
The new committee will take charge shortly and will continue to manage the bank up to December 8, 2026, or until elections are held or the government issues further directions, whichever comes first.
The government said the decision was taken after considering a report from the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Andhra Pradesh.
The Registrar has been asked to take the necessary steps to implement the government’s decision.
