Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), one of India’s leading farmers’ cooperatives in the fertilizer sector, reported a pre-tax profit of Rs. 824.68 crore for FY 2025-26, while declaring a 20% dividend on the equity capital of its member cooperative societies.
The results were announced at KRIBHCO’s 46th Annual General Body Meeting held at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, on September 25. The meeting was presided over by KRIBHCO Chairman V. Sudhakar Chowdary in the presence of the Board of Directors and delegates representing member cooperatives from across the country.
KRIBHCO maintained strong production and operational performance during the financial year. Its urea production stood at 21.34 lakh MT, with capacity utilisation reaching 97.26%, while ammonia production touched 12.39 lakh MT at 99.36% capacity utilisation.
The cooperative also strengthened its market presence through a diversified product portfolio covering Neem Coated Urea, imported DAP, MAP, MOP, complex fertilizers, bio-fertilizers, compost, certified and hybrid seeds, SSP, zinc sulphate, natural potash, mycorrhiza and seaweed-fortified bio-stimulants.
During FY 2025-26, KRIBHCO sold 45.37 lakh MT of fertilizers, including urea and P&K fertilizers, highlighting its significant role in meeting the fertilizer requirements of farmers.
Its wholly owned subsidiary, KRIBHCO Fertilizers Ltd (KFL), recorded an especially strong operational performance. KFL produced 11.02 lakh MT of urea and 6.68 lakh MT of ammonia, achieving capacity utilisation of 127.48% and 133.16%, respectively. The subsidiary declared a dividend of Rs. 14.40 crore for the year.
KRIBHCO Managing Director S.S. Yadav told the gathering that the cooperative and its subsidiaries had maintained high standards of production and operational efficiency during the year.
KRIBHCO Agri Business Ltd (KABL) also contributed significantly to the group’s performance, recording a turnover of Rs. 1,919.35 crore during FY 2025-26. Domestic business accounted for Rs. 1,436.81 crore, while exports contributed Rs. 482.54 crore, reflecting the company’s expanding presence in both domestic and international markets.
Looking ahead, KRIBHCO Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. (KGEPL) is constructing two plants, one at Hazira in Gujarat and another at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. Both projects are expected to become operational during FY 2026-27, adding a new dimension to KRIBHCO’s expanding business portfolio.
Beyond fertilizers and agri-business, KRIBHCO continues to pursue its cooperative development agenda. Its social arm, Gramin Vikas Trust, is working on community-led initiatives focused on livelihoods, environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life in underserved rural communities.
Aligned with the government’s “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” vision, KRIBHCO is also playing an active role in new cooperative initiatives. It is the lead promoter of Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Ltd (BBSSL) and a joint promoter of National Cooperative Exports Ltd (NCEL) and Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Ltd (Bharat Taxi).
The cooperative was also recognised with several awards from organisations including FAI and PRSI during the year.
At the AGM, KRIBHCO honoured two prominent cooperators for their contribution to the cooperative movement. Shankarbhai Chaudhary of Gujarat received the KRIBHCO Sahakarita Shiromani Award, while Bhagwan Singh Yadav of Madhya Pradesh was conferred the KRIBHCO Sahakarita Vibhushan Award. Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav proposed a vote of thanks.
