Indian Cooperative Editor-in-Chief Ajay Jha has congratulated Dileep Sanghani on his election as an At-Large Director on the global board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), describing the victory as a significant moment for India’s cooperative movement.
Jha said Sanghani’s election was not merely a personal achievement but also an important recognition of the strength and growing stature of India’s cooperative sector on the world stage.
“Dileepbhai Sanghani’s victory at the ICA is a matter of pride for the entire Indian cooperative movement. It gives India a stronger voice at the global cooperative forum and provides an opportunity to present the country’s vast cooperative experience before the international community,” Jha said.
He added that India, with millions of cooperative members and thousands of cooperative institutions working across diverse sectors, has much to share with the global movement.
“Sanghani’s presence on the ICA global board will help build bridges between India and cooperatives across continents. His election comes at a time when India’s cooperative movement is undergoing a major transformation, making his role particularly significant,” Jha added.
