Around 900 women students participated in the Young Girls Co-operative Seminar–2026, organised by the Gujarat State Co-operative Union (GSCU) in Ahmedabad on the theme “Co-op Connect & Understanding Prosperity through Cooperation.”
The seminar was organised under the leadership of G. H. Amin, Chairman, GSCU and former President of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI).
Representing NCUI, Inderpreet Kaur, Assistant Director, NCUI, addressed the participants as a speaker and highlighted the importance and growing scope of the cooperative movement. She explained NCUI’s role in promoting cooperative education, training, awareness and capacity building, including initiatives undertaken through the National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE).
The programme was attended by Darshana Vaghela, Minister for Urban Development and Urban Housing, along with Dollar Kotecha, Chairman, National Agriculture & Rural Development Banks Federation, and Milind Kale, Vice Chairman, National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks.
Bhawna Jadeja, Chairperson, Women Cooperative Committee, GSCU and Managing Director, SEWA Samiti, was also present.
The seminar aimed to connect young women with the cooperative movement and encourage their participation in cooperative leadership and entrepreneurship, in the spirit of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi.”
