The annual general meeting (AGM) season in the cooperative sector is entering its busiest phase, with several major national-level cooperatives and federations scheduling their annual meetings in the final days of September as the September 30 deadline approaches.
Among the key AGMs lined up are those of KRIBHCO, FISHCOPFED, NAFED, NACOF, NCCF and NLCF, making the final week of September particularly significant for the national cooperative movement.
The sequence begins with KRIBHCO and FISHCOPFED on September 25. KRIBHCO will hold its AGM at The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, while the National Federation of Fishers Cooperatives Ltd (FISHCOPFED) will hold its AGM at its head office in Sarita Vihar, New Delhi.
KRIBHCO’s AGM is expected to review the cooperative’s performance during the financial year, with delegates from across the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, expected to attend. FISHCOPFED’s meeting will focus on the affairs, activities and future direction of the apex institution representing the fisheries cooperative movement.
On September 26, the spotlight shifts to two more major national cooperatives. NAFED will hold its AGM at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, followed by NACOF, whose AGM is scheduled at the NCUI Board Room in the second half of the day.
The AGM calendar continues with the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation (NCCF) on September 27 at NCUI, while NLCF is scheduled to hold its AGM on September 30 at 12:30 pm, making it one of the final major AGMs of the month.
The busy cooperative calendar is not limited to AGMs. The National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd. is also organising a major triple event today, September 22, in New Delhi, comprising the National Sugar Industry Conclave, Industry Exhibition & Innovation Expo, and National Efficiency Award Ceremony.
The event will be held from 11:30 am onwards at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, 15 Janpath Road, Windsor Place, New Delhi, bringing together stakeholders from across the cooperative sugar sector.
Meanwhile, several prominent national cooperative institutions, including IFFCO and NAFCUB, have already conducted their AGMs this month with strong participation from members and delegates. Their meetings provided a platform to review financial performance, business growth and organisational priorities for the year ahead.
The AGM calendar is also not confined to national-level cooperative bodies. Several major cooperative banks and other institutions are scheduled to hold their AGMs in the coming days before September 30. Among them is Saraswat Co-operative Bank, one of the country’s prominent urban cooperative banks.
With KRIBHCO, FISHCOPFED, NAFED, NACOF, NCCF and NLCF lined up in the final stretch, the cooperative sector is set for a particularly busy AGM season, bringing together delegates and stakeholders from across the country.
