A five-member delegation from the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd. (APSCABL) visited the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (APCOB) on 17–18 September to study successful practices in cooperative banking.
The delegation, led by Managing Director Bittu Kri, included senior officials from APSCABL. At APCOB’s head office, the team interacted with Managing Director R.V. Ramakrishna, Chief General Manager B. Ramachandraiah and other senior officials.
Discussions covered human resource management, credit operations, NPA management, recovery strategies, stressed assets, staff productivity, training and capacity building. Officials also shared approaches to strengthening institutional performance.
The delegation subsequently visited Eluru DCCB, where it studied the bank’s progress from the weak-bank category, including its turnaround plan, NPA recovery measures, credit strengthening and business development initiatives.
The team also visited Badampudi and Chebrole PACS to understand grassroots-level cooperative operations, member services and diversification activities.
The visit concluded with discussions on continued cooperation and knowledge-sharing between cooperative institutions of Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh.
