Bharat Taxi has been launched in Chandigarh as an important cooperative initiative aimed at strengthening the transport sector and expanding cooperative participation in mobility services.
The launch is being positioned as part of the government’s broader vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’, with the cooperative model expected to create new economic opportunities for people associated with the transport sector.
On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar shared his views on the initiative and its potential to empower cooperatives.
The launch marks another step towards expanding cooperation into new and emerging sectors. Bharat Taxi is among the initiatives being promoted under the cooperative framework to provide organised opportunities for service providers while strengthening the role of cooperatives in the country’s economic development.
