The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), through its Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC), organised the second batch of a “Leadership & Professional Development Programme” for officials of the Cooperation Department of Bihar Government from September 14 to 18, 2026.
As part of the programme’s second phase, the participating officials undertook study visits to NCDC and the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), where they were briefed on the role, functioning and initiatives of the two organisations.
The officials were also familiarised with various aspects of strengthening, financing, marketing and development of cooperative institutions.
Addressing the participants, Sunil Chhapola, Director (Planning & Coordination), NCDC, highlighted the corporation’s role in financing, strengthening and promoting cooperatives across various sectors.
He also underlined the importance of NCDC and LINAC in training, research and capacity building, particularly in enhancing professional and leadership capabilities of cooperatives and their personnel.
The programme aims to strengthen leadership skills, professional competence, decision-making and managerial capabilities among cooperative officials, contributing to effective management and institutional excellence in the sector.
