IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani held a meaningful dialogue with representatives of the Panamanian authorities and the country’s National Cooperative Movement on cooperative agriculture, sustainable food systems, agricultural investments and environment-friendly innovations.

Sanghani highlighted IFFCO’s continued efforts to promote innovations aimed at improving farmers’ prosperity, maintaining soil health and advancing climate-friendly agriculture. He cited the Nano Urea plant established in Brazil as an important initiative in this direction.

He said cooperative models can play a significant role in facilitating greater exchange of knowledge, technology and investment among farmers across countries.

Sanghani emphasised the importance of international cooperation in addressing emerging challenges in agriculture while promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible farming practices.

The discussions in Panama also underlined the potential for stronger collaboration between cooperative organisations and agricultural stakeholders in India and Panama.

Sanghani’s interaction comes during his visit to Panama for the International Cooperative Alliance’s global meetings and follows his election to the ICA Global Board.
