IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani has expressed gratitude to the cooperative community worldwide following his election as an At-Large Director to the Global Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).
In a message shared after the election, Sanghani thanked cooperators across the world for their “overwhelming support and trust”, describing his election as both an honour and a responsibility.
Sanghani said he looked forward to working with the global cooperative community to build bridges and strengthen cooperation across countries and regions.
He also expressed his commitment to creating meaningful impact and contributing towards a more inclusive and sustainable future for cooperatives globally.
His election to the ICA Global Board provides India with representation at the apex global body of the cooperative movement. Sanghani had been nominated by the Indian Cooperative Movement as a candidate for the At-Large Director position.
The IFFCO Chairman’s message comes after the conclusion of the ICA Global Board elections held in Panama, where cooperative leaders from around the world gathered for the global body’s meetings and assemblies.
