Dear Fellow Cooperators,
Warm greetings from the International Cooperative Alliance–Asia and Pacific Region.
It gives me great pleasure to appeal to the global cooperative fraternity to support Shri Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, who has been nominated by the Indian Cooperative Movement as a candidate for At-Large Director on the ICA Global Board in the election to be held in Panama on September 15, 2026.
Shri Sanghani is a distinguished cooperative leader whose contribution goes well beyond the institutions he has led. His unique strength lies in the rare combination of grassroots cooperative understanding, public policy experience, democratic governance and a clear vision for making cooperatives more relevant to farmers, youth and women.
His leadership was prominently demonstrated during the highly successful ICA Global General Assembly and the launch of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 in New Delhi, which brought together the global cooperative fraternity and witnessed the participation of the Honourable Prime Minister of India.
A four-time Member of Parliament and former State Cabinet Minister handling important portfolios including cooperation, dairy, banking and rural development, Shri Sanghani possesses an exceptional understanding of cooperative legislation, governance, public policy and institutional development.
His commitment to youth empowerment, employment, education, rural livelihoods and women’s participation further reflects his inclusive vision of the cooperative movement. His experience at the helm of IFFCO, one of the world’s largest cooperative organisations, has also given him a truly global perspective on farmer-owned enterprises and cooperative development.
I firmly believe that Shri Dileep Sanghani can make a meaningful contribution to the ICA Global Board and strengthen the voice of cooperators from India, Asia and the wider developing world.
I therefore earnestly appeal to all fellow cooperators and ICA members to vote for and support Shri Dileep Sanghani in the forthcoming election.
With warm regards,
Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav
President, ICA Asia and Pacific Region
