Goa Co-ops engage with MoC on key Initiatives

A high-level interactive session with key stakeholders from Goa’s cooperative sector focused on strengthening the implementation of various initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation (MoC), Government of India.

The session brought together office bearers and Managing Directors of cooperative banks, Goa Dairy, Goa State Cooperative Marketing and Supply Federation, Goa Bagyatdar and Adarsh Krishi. Discussions centred on the Ministry’s ongoing initiatives and their potential to further strengthen the cooperative ecosystem in the state.

The session was graced by Siddharth Jain, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, who engaged with representatives and discussed issues and opportunities concerning the cooperative sector.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary (Cooperation) and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Government of Goa, underlining the state administration’s focus on promoting a stronger and more effective cooperative movement.

The interaction provided an important platform for stakeholders to exchange views, understand new initiatives and explore ways to enhance the contribution of cooperatives towards inclusive economic development in Goa.
