Representatives of the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) met R.K. Kulshreshtha, Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd., in Lucknow, as part of efforts to strengthen the registration of PACS godowns under the WDRA framework.
The discussions focused on encouraging more Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) to obtain WDRA registration and leverage the benefits of the electronic Negotiable Warehouse Receipt (e-NWR) ecosystem.
The representatives also highlighted special regulatory relaxations available to PACS under the WDRA framework, aimed at facilitating their participation in the warehousing ecosystem and improving access to institutional finance.
Kulshreshtha assured the WDRA team of his full support and said the Apex Bank would encourage eligible PACS across Uttar Pradesh to secure WDRA registration and benefit from the opportunities offered through the e-NWR ecosystem.
