The East Zone Review Meeting of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) concluded at its Ranchi office with a renewed focus on strengthening the cooperative ecosystem through effective policy implementation, continuous review and institutional support.
The meeting was led by Pankaj Kumar Bansal, IAS, Managing Director, NCDC, who stressed the need to translate policy decisions into tangible outcomes at the grassroots level. He emphasised sustained efforts to ensure that cooperative institutions receive effective support and that policy initiatives deliver meaningful benefits.
During the meeting, NCDC Regional Directors from five states, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand, presented updates on key policy reforms, their implementation and the progress of cooperative federations in their respective regions.
Officials representing the apex cooperative federations of Jharkhand also made detailed presentations on their activities and achievements. The presentations were followed by discussions with NCDC’s top management on challenges, implementation issues and ways to further strengthen the cooperative movement across the eastern region.
