The Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), in collaboration with the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT) and the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), has commenced a 510-hour Pilot Training Programme for Agri Commodity Quality Assayers under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0.
The programme began on Tuesday at the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Jaipur, with the objective of developing skilled professionals capable of assessing the quality of agricultural commodities.
The training will provide participants with comprehensive knowledge of agri-commodity assaying, quality standards, warehouse operations and workplace safety. It will also focus on employability skills to improve participants’ readiness for employment in the agricultural warehousing and quality-assessment ecosystem.
A key component of the programme is on-the-job training, allowing participants to gain practical exposure and strengthen their understanding of assaying procedures and warehouse operations.
