The Cosmos Co-operative Bank launched several news services for the customers on the occasion of its 108th anniversary. The leading multi-state scheduled bank in co-operative sector celebrated the occasion on January 18th, 2014 with fervor and zeal.
Latest services launched by Cosmos include the “Tab Doorstep Banking” to reach the customers directly at their doorsteps, launching of latest software to connect regional offices and branches of Cosmos through video conferencing, launching of Toastmasters Club for employees, etc.
Chairman, Cosmos Bank, Krishnakumar Goyal announced the launch of these services in the press conference. Chairman Emeritus – Dr. Mukund Abhyankar, Vice-chairman – Milind Kale, Managing Director – Vickrant Pounkshe and other directors were present for the press conference.
Goyal informed that, under the Bank’s policy of “Quality Management System”, the Demat section of Bank has recently received “ISO-9001-2008” certification from the world famous British Standard Institution. This certification is received for next three years. This has given Cosmos Bank the honor of being the first co-operative bank in Pune area to receive such coveted certification.
To give the customers service at doorstep, Bank has launched its high-tech service “Tab Doorstep Banking”. Through this service High Networth Individuals (HNIs), senior citizens will be given various banking services at their doorstep. These include opening of savings accounts, deposition and withdrawal of cash and opening of fixed deposit accounts.
This service will also reach rural customers. For reaching rural population, Bank will appoint Business Correspondents (BCs). This service will be offered through the Financial Inclusion programme undertaken by Bank for economic development of women. Presently there are 450 SHG’s of Cosmos Bank through which 4,500 women are enjoying services of the Bank informed Mr. Goyal.
Vice-chairman Milind Kale told that to facilitate communication between various regional offices across India and the branch managers new video conferencing software has been developed. This will help in quick communication to expedite fast decisions.
Managing Director – Vickrant Pounkshe informed that focusing on the development of human resources of the Bank, Toastmasters Club is being launched exclusively for Cosmos Bank employees. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations.
