Former IFFCO Managing Director Dr. U.S. Awasthi paid a heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, remembering his enduring contribution to the nation, democracy and public life.
In a post on X, Awasthi described Vajpayee as a great poet, writer and former Prime Minister whose life remained dedicated to national service. He said Vajpayee’s contribution to strengthening democratic values and shaping Indian politics would always be remembered.
Awasthi’s tribute comes as the nation observes Vajpayee’s death anniversary on August 16. Vajpayee, who died in 2018, served as Prime Minister three times and was the first BJP leader to occupy the post. He was also honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 2015.
Awasthi concluded his message with a respectful tribute to the late leader, praying for peace and remembering Vajpayee’s lasting legacy of statesmanship, democratic values and service to the nation.
