The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) organised a workshop for Cluster Based Business Organisations (CBBOs) under the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) Wednesday at NCDC Headquarters in New Delhi.
The workshop was attended by Chinmay Pundlikaro Gotmare, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW), as the Chief Guest.
Rohit Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, NCDC, addressed the gathering and stressed the need for stronger institutional support, business development and market linkages to make FPOs more sustainable and competitive.
The workshop focused on capacity building, sharing best practices, business development and strengthening market linkages for FPOs across the country.
The programme provided a platform for CBBOs to exchange experiences and discuss strategies to improve the business performance and market access of FPOs. NCDC emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts to build stronger farmer institutions and create sustainable business opportunities for producer organisations.
