The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Aniruddha Desai as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sindhudurg District Central Cooperative Bank.

A seasoned cooperative banking professional with over 25 years of experience, Desai previously served as CEO of Pune District Central Cooperative Bank. During his tenure, the bank achieved 100% Core Banking implementation, reduced Net NPA to zero, expanded digital banking services, and strengthened its recovery management systems.

Welcoming the appointment, Chairman Manish Dalvi said Desai’s extensive experience would help accelerate the bank’s modernization and reinforce its position among Maharashtra’s leading district cooperative banks.

Sindhudurg DCCB has witnessed robust growth over the past four-and-a-half years, with its total business rising from Rs 4,457 crore to Rs 7,531 crore and net profit increasing from Rs 16 crore to Rs 50 crore. The bank has also received six national awards during this period.

Speaking on his priorities, Desai said he would focus on achieving 100% loan recovery, maintaining minimal NPAs, expanding digital banking services, and strengthening farmer-centric credit delivery.
