Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah on Wednesday informed the Rajya Sabha that 13 District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) in Karnataka are operating on the TCS C-Edge Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform, while the remaining eight DCCBs have adopted other CBS solutions.
In a written reply, Shah said NABARD initiated the onboarding of all DCCBs onto the Core Banking Solution platform in 2013 and negotiated the pricing for implementation of the TCS C-Edge CBS solution.
The Minister shared the information while replying to a question on measures undertaken to strengthen District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) in Karnataka.
In a written reply, Shah said 5,894 PACS in Karnataka have been covered under the Centre’s PACS Computerisation Project. During the last three years (2023-24 to 2025-26), the Centre has released Rs 27.58 crore to the state under the project.
He said the Ministry has also released Rs 1.30 crore for computerisation of the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Rs 1.28 crore for computerisation of Agricultural and Rural Development Banks (ARDBs).
The Minister further informed that 267 new Multipurpose PACS have been formed in Karnataka since February 15, 2023. NABARD also reimbursed Rs 244.19 lakh during FY 2025-26 to three Cooperative Training Institutes in the state for conducting 112 training programmes for cooperative personnel.
