The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Ltd. celebrated a major milestone by entering its Centenary Year while reporting a strong financial performance for FY 2025-26, with net profit surging 51% year-on-year and the Board proposing a 15% dividend for shareholders.
Riding on strong operational performance and improved asset quality, The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank’s net profit rose 51% to Rs 7.41 crore in FY 2025-26 from Rs 4.10 crore in the previous financial year.
Addressing the Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai last week, Chairman Homa D. Petit described the occasion as a proud moment in the Bank’s 100-year journey and expressed gratitude to its founders, shareholders, customers, employees and other stakeholders for their continued support.
Highlighting the Bank’s financial performance, Petit said average deposits and average advances registered healthy growth, while asset quality strengthened significantly. The Bank’s Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) declined sharply to 0.12% from 0.85% a year earlier, while Net NPAs remained Nil.
The Chairman also announced that the Bank recovered Rs 3.45 crore from previously written-off accounts during FY26, registering 100% growth in recoveries over the previous year.
Emphasising the Bank’s transformation, Petit said it has evolved into a truly cosmopolitan institution serving customers from all sections of society. He added that several customer-friendly initiatives, particularly targeting younger customers, would be introduced in the coming months alongside enhanced technology-driven services.
Managing Director & CEO Daljit Dogra said the Bank now offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services, with nearly 90% of all transactions being conducted through digital channels.
Dogra said the Bank has implemented robust cybersecurity systems to ensure safe and seamless digital banking while continuously enhancing customer experience through new digital solutions.
He also underlined the strength of the Bank’s credit underwriting practices, noting that there were no fresh slippages in the asset portfolio during FY 2025-26. The Bank’s loan portfolio remains well diversified, with retail loans accounting for 43% of total advances and exposure to any single industry kept below 15% of the advances portfolio.
Going forward, the Bank plans to further strengthen its retail lending business, focusing on housing, vehicle and education loans, while introducing innovative offerings such as secured personal loans, solar loans, and education loans for school and undergraduate students with special concessions for girl students.
